Competition Winner
Win 'A Night with the Phantom'
I won a pair of tickets to see Ramin Karimloo's concert 'A Night with the Phantom' with Gay Times. I took my best friend, Shani.
Firstly, we went to New Street's Pizza Hut which was fantastic. The server there, Lawrence, was really good - and the atmosphere was excellent. The pizza was absolutely delicious.
After Pizza Hut, Shani and I walked over to Symphony Hall and went to the concert. Ramin was singing songs from musicals including Phantom of the Opera, and they were all beautifully sung. His leading lady, Celia Graham was very beautiful. There was a special guest - Olivia Jade Archbold - from Britain's Got Talent who sung 'Angel.'
My favourite songs were the songs from Phantom - 'All I Ask of You', 'The Phantom of the Opera' and he sung one at the end of the night too; 'The Music of the Night.' He also sang songs from Les Miserables, Miss Saigon, Sunset Boulevard, etc. His voice was beautifully in tune with a lovely vibrato to it. Celia also had a lovely operatic voice which matched Ramin's voice perfectly.
Their duets were absolutely stunning, and quite moving. The conductor, David Shrubsole, was really good - and so were the live orchestra.
I had a fantastic time, and so did Shani. It was a lovely evening from start to finish. I really enjoyed winning the tickets, and it was very entertaining. Thank you, Gay Times :)
